WEBER processing systems

The WEBER PT series is designed for demanding industrial applications and is also available in a top-and-bottom configuration. The processing stations can be freely selected and arranged above and below the workpiece, allowing the machine to be precisely adapted to individual production requirements.

The WEBER P2 planetary head can also be integrated and activated adaptively, providing additional flexibility for edge rounding and surface processing.

Rubber-coated contact rollers are used for efficient deburring and surface finishing. The grinding pressure is generated by lowering the roller below the preset workpiece thickness, ensuring controlled and uniform material removal.

The contact roller is particularly effective for rough grinding and removing heavy, melted laser spatter. Its precise adjustment allows the grinding pressure to be adapted to different workpieces and processing requirements. Electric adjustment enables quick and accurate positioning, including adjustments during operation.

The unit can also be equipped with Scotch-Brite belts for additional surface finishing. Contact rollers are available in different diameters and rubber hardnesses, allowing them to be configured to suit a wide range of applications.

Technical Specifications:
+ Rubber-coated 40-90 Shore
+ Drive depending on the series up to 110kW
+ Electric roller adjustment and positioning

Features:
+ Use of different belts possible
+ Removes thick, molten laser spatters
+ Effective for rough grinding
+ Surface grinding

The advantages of a grinding bar and the performance of a grinding roller are combined in one grinding station. Constant grinding quality, high material throughput, and low operating costs due to long grinding belt lifetimes characterize this technology. The grinding belt is pressed a few millimeters downward by hardened pins; this pre-tension compensates for all existing thickness tolerances from part to part autonomously, allowing for an economical multi-loading process across the entire processing width.

Technical Specifications:
+ Drive up to 30kW + Cutting speed of approx. 3 - 16m/sec
+ Contact roller Ø130mm (ø175mm) rubbercoated, 60° Shore
+ Adjustment accuracy 0,1mm
+ Tolerance compensation up to +/-3mm for workpiece thickness / part distortion

Features:
+ Electromechanical roller adjustment and positioning
+ Pressure hose with manual pressure regulator for adjusting the required grinding pressure

The WEBER multi-rotation brush is designed for uniform edge rounding of inner and outer edges. Multiple rotating brush heads are arranged side by side, with two intermeshing brushes per head ensuring consistent processing across the entire working width.

Its compact design allows the unit to be easily combined with other WEBER sanding technologies. The multi-rotation brush is particularly suitable for coated materials such as foil-coated or galvanized sheets, where reliable edge rounding is required without damaging or removing the protective coating.

Technical Specifications:
+ Drive 2,6kW per unit
+ Speed frequency-controlled 30-150U/min
+ Cutting speed frequency-controlled 5-20m/sec
+ Electrical height adjustment and positioning

Features:
+ Grinding-brushing station with multiple horizontal rotating units
+ Each with 2 vertical rotating brushes
+ Flap brushes are quick-changeable
+ Side extension for easy tool change

The slag on oxy-fuel or plasma-cut parts should be removed before the actual deburring process. Only this guarantees a reliable and economical subsequent process and provides consistently high results with lower tool and energy costs. the patented single-row intermeshing WEBER planetary head system with slag hammers reliably and efficiently handles this task! No additional oscillation movement is required, as the slag hammers always work at a 90° angle to the cutting edge, achieving the maximum effect!

Technical Specifications:
+ Drive up to 5,4kW
+ Speed frequency-controlled 300 - 1280U/min
+ Electrical height adjustment and positioning

Features:
+ Number of units adjusted to the working width, each with 2 tools
+ Tools with screwed tool holder
+ Side extension for easy tool change

The patented WEBER P2 planetary head provides an efficient solution for uniform edge rounding of inner and outer contours. Its single-row design features a large overlap between the individual tools, eliminating the need for additional oscillating movement.

The sealed planetary heads are designed for high durability and low-maintenance operation. The brushes continuously work at an optimal angle to the workpiece, ensuring efficient and consistent processing.

The overlapping planetary heads work seamlessly together without gaps, providing uniform edge rounding across the entire working width.

Technical specifications:
+ Drive up to 5,2kW
+ Speed frequency-controlled 850 - 1700U/min
+ Electrical height adjustment and positioning

Features:
+ Number of units adjusted to the working width, each with 2 tools
+ Working from below starting at approx. 450mm part length possible
+ Profile grinding disc with quick-change system
+ Side extension for easy tool change

Slag from oxy-fuel and plasma-cut parts should be removed before the actual deburring process. Reliable slag removal ensures consistent downstream processing while reducing tool wear and energy consumption.

The patented single-row, intermeshing WEBER planetary head system with slag hammers performs this task efficiently and reliably. No additional oscillating movement is required, as the slag hammers always work at a 90° angle to the cutting edge, maximizing their impact.

A high-quality surface finish gives metal a distinctive appearance and refined look. With patented WEBER CBF technology, different sanding patterns and individually adjustable stroke lengths can be achieved without visible oscillation marks.

The system uses a transverse pressure lamella belt integrated into the wide-belt sanding station. The pressure lamellae continuously interrupt the contact between the abrasive grains and the workpiece, preventing the oscillation marks typically caused by conventional sanding belts. The result is a smooth and uniform surface.

Technical Specifications:

+ Contact roller also adjustable for deburring and/or surface grinding
+ Internally cooled drive and tensioning roll in the CBF system
+ Internal ISA/ISD link pressure bar

he WEBER brushing unit enables the use of specialized abrasives that are not available as conventional sanding belts. The brush rollers process the surface and, in some applications, the edges as well.

The adjustable oscillating brushing system is primarily designed for longitudinal sanding. The brush rollers improve surface quality and can modify the surface roughness or create specific surface structures.

+ Cutting speed: 5–18 m/s

+ Adjustment accuracy: 0.1 mm

Features

+ Adjustable oscillation

The WEBER EU unit processes workpieces from below using rotating elliptical disc brushes arranged in two rows. The elliptical shape creates a large overlapping area with opposing processing directions, despite the brushes rotating in the same direction and using identical tools.

The close spacing of the pressure rollers and the effective support provided by the tools enable reliable bottom-side processing of smaller parts from approximately 100 mm in diameter. Larger sheet metal parts can also be processed efficiently with this versatile system.
