Metal sanding machine for laser, punching and nibbling parts

The WEBER NLC is a wet sanding machine designed for processing laser-cut, punched, and nibbled parts. Its wet sanding technology is particularly suited to materials that are sensitive to heat, require controlled temperature during processing, or have oily surfaces.

The NLC enables reliable deburring, edge rounding, descaling, and surface finishing. Up to five processing stations can be freely configured to meet individual production requirements.

Finish

WEBER NLC sanding technologies

Rubber-coated contact rollers are used for efficient deburring and surface finishing. The grinding pressure is generated by lowering the roller below the preset workpiece thickness, ensuring controlled and uniform material removal.

The contact roller is particularly effective for rough grinding and removing heavy, melted laser spatter. Precise roller adjustment allows the grinding pressure to be adapted to different workpieces and processing requirements. Electric adjustment enables fast and accurate positioning, including adjustments during operation.

The unit can also be equipped with Scotch-Brite belts for additional surface finishing. Contact rollers are available in different diameters and rubber hardnesses, allowing them to be configured for a wide range of applications.

Technical Specifications:
+ Rubber-coated 40-90 Shore
+ Drive depending on the series up to 110kW
+ Electric roller adjustment and positioning

Features:
+ Use of different belts possible
+ Removes thick, molten laser spatters
+ Effective for rough grinding
+ Surface grinding

As an alternative to the compact P2 design, WEBER offers the P6 with a double-row arrangement, with six brushes mounted on each tool carrier. An electric adjustment system enables quick and precise positioning.

The unit can be activated, deactivated, positioned, and readjusted during operation via the machine control system, providing maximum flexibility and precise control throughout the sanding process.

Technical Specifications
+ Drive per unit up to 2,2kW
+ Disc station with electric height adjustment and positioning

Features
+ Number of units adjusted to the working width, each with 6 tools
+ Tools with quick-change system + Side extension for easy tool change

The WEBER brushing unit enables the use of specialized abrasives that are not available as conventional sanding belts. The brush rollers process both surfaces and, depending on the application, edges.

The adjustable oscillating brushing system is primarily designed for longitudinal sanding. The brush rollers can improve surface quality, adjust surface roughness, and create or modify specific surface structures.
