WEBER DR planetary head

The WEBER DR (Double Rotation) grinding system with planetary heads, with double rotation is availabe on all WEBER deburring and finishing machines.

The machine can be supplied with a planetary station, or multiple planetary stations, in combination with all of our other grinding methods. Machines are available, both wet and dry, for:

oxide removal on laser cut part edges
rounding edges and removing the oxide on laser cut parts
rounding of punch and nibble edges
rounding edges only of laser cut parts
rounding edges of flame cuts and plasma cuts Working method

WEBER DR planetary

Individual brushes are arranged around the outside of each disc, the individual brush rotates and the disc rotates. This solves two major problems, vertical and top edges, with:

uniform working quality on all edges of the part
oxide removal on parts up to 10mm in thickness, in a single pass
radius identical rounding of all inner and outer edges

3 Versions for optimum customer use:

the Double Rotation planetary station for rounding: the abrasive tool rounds the edges. Other methods do not remove any material, do not round edges.
the brush tool impinges on all vertical edges gently flicking off the oxide without changing the edge or surface of the part. In a single pass up to a 10 mm edge height can be cleaned.
multiple Double Rotation planetary stations in one machine: both tools can be used to round top edges and remove laser oxide in a single pass.
